.people are strange, even when you aren’t a stranger.

Ok, so I posted on Facebook and Twitter that I was hired into Frank’s Elite Tuesday night after my audition with their Hiring Manager Persia and the owner William – where Persia said I was hired in, added me to their DJ group, told me everything about working there, and sent me a NC telling me to pick what shift I could do… 

And then yesterday – while I was camping – I checked my email and saw missed messages… One was from Rosabella (the communications manager at Frank’s and owner of The Big Apple sim, who I’ve known almost the entire time I’ve been on SL) saying “why are you talking about a place you are applying for a job for on fb, thats a silly move”, a message saying I had a NC from Rosabella called “Luci DJ Application Declined by Frank’s Entertainment Group” and an email saying Persia removed me from the DJ group.

I logged in on Lumiya and read the NC: 

“Hello Luci, My name is Rosabella and I am the Communications Manager for Franks Entertainment Group (FEG).

I am sorry to inform you that your application has been declined with Frank’s Entertainment Group as a DJ at Frank’s Elite.

This is due to a conflicting discussion in the public arena that is confidential while your application to apply is being processed.

Feel free to contact me should you have any queries regarding this decision.

We wish you all the best in the future and thank you for your interest.

First off, I know her name lol I’ve known her 9 months.  Second, I was hired already, how are you going to “decline my application” when you already hired me? That’s called firing someone, not declining an application.  Third, I contacted her with my queries like the NC said to asking her how I ended up fired already and she basically said that she’d already given me all of the information that I needed about what happened.

Persia hasn’t answered me.

I can only assume that they fired me either because of the post I made saying that Country Strong Reborn’s owner didn’t show up to the audition we had scheduled or that I got hired into Franks – not sure which one it was… But geez, this whole trying to find DJ jobs has been a wild ride so far lol

Thankfully I hadn’t paid the 1,000L yet for the group they require you to join to get in there – even if you’re working for them.
